To right and below, several of the groups hung at the show. Two sizes were allowed, and the subject was required to be heads or figures showing cultural context of the country of the artist. We had seventy pieces to hang!

The Traveling Exhibit:

Picture
Moving from two larger venues, 3 Americas moved through the NY/NJ area under the auspices of V.A.L., thanks to Judith Wray.  The works were displayed in municipal buildings, libraries, and other civic centers.
Designed to be a "traveling exhibit" the works were sturdily presented in versatile box-like frames that allowed traditional and also innovative display.

Pictured is Bob Rakita, tireless project consultant, handyman and crew with one of his several large wood sculptures that were part of the exhibit.
